The short answer
Add the tracks, use Move up or Move down to set their order, choose MP3 output and click Merge audio. Decide whether you want a direct join, extra silence or a crossfade before starting.
Build the track list
Use Add files to select your MP3 tracks. Check the versions you added, remove duplicates and use Move up or Move down for the intended playback order. Use Preview to check uncertain tracks.
Choose how the tracks meet
Open Between clips in the Merge settings. Direct join adds no deliberate pause; Silent gap inserts the duration you set; Crossfade overlaps adjacent endings and beginnings.
A crossfade changes the audio and needs processing. Choose an overlap shorter than every included trimmed clip and listen at the joins. A direct join does not remove silence that is already part of a music file.
Keep compatible copies or rebuild the audio
Select MP3 under Output format. Smart (recommended) uses a compatible copy path when possible and conversion when necessary. Lossless copy needs matching technical properties and no trims or effects that require re-encoding. Choose Studio merge for transitions or other processing.
Do not assume that joining MP3 tracks always avoids re-encoding. Mixed settings, trimming and enhancements can require a new encode; a higher output bitrate does not restore lost source detail.
Save and listen across each join
Choose a new output path with Browse and click Merge audio. Play across the joins and confirm the track order. Keep the original music files for future edits.
For spoken chapters, use the audiobook joining guide. For mixed source formats or trimming, see how to merge audio files.
